The Opportunity:
The role of Wellness Manager - Director of Care (Registered Nurse) will be serving the community of **Points West Living Wainwright** in the town of Wainwright, Alberta. The Wellness Manager is the advocate for the resident’s and their families.

- Demonstrates strength in building partnerships with Residents, family members, Employee Care Partners, volunteers, external care partners and the community at large to ensure the vibrancy of our community
- Flexible, willingness to prioritize and re-adjust routines, open to change for the benefit of the community
- Strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, communication, and time and resource management skills
- Excellent facilitation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills, deal effectively with difficult or crisis situations
- Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention and adheres to safe work practices. Is mindful of the psychological health and safety of our employee care partners
- Using the available resources, the Wellness Manager is responsible for delegating, coordinating, and evaluating the delivery of care based on the Resident Care Plan & Service Plan (if applicable)
- Ensure an interdisciplinary effort to achieve the successful integration of quality of life and quality of care
- Responsible for performance reviews
- Ensure that care delivered recognizes each Resident as an individual so that personal needs are met beyond traditional nursing practices
- Education & orientation for all Employee Care Partners
- Teach delegated services to care partners as per accepted practice standards
- Liaison with Care Team (i.e., Resident, Family
- if applicable, Home Care Nurse, Doctor, Pharmacy, Care Partners, and other health care professionals) as required
**Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from**:
- Graduate of a recognized RN program required
- Registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body
- Must hold valid certification in First Aid and CPR
- Previous experience as a supervisor or manager is require
- Labor and employee relations resolution experience required
