**Position Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and strategic **Public Relations and Community Engagement Specialist** to join our team. This individual will serve as a key representative of The Pawsh Dog brand across digital platforms and community spaces. You will be responsible for enhancing our public image, nurturing community relationships, and shaping thoughtful communication strategies that reflect our values and mission.
**Key ResponsibilitiesReputation & Review Management**
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to customer reviews across platforms such as Google, Facebook, Yelp, and others.
- Develop proactive strategies for managing negative feedback and leveraging positive sentiment.
- Track trends in customer sentiment to inform service improvements and communications.
**Community Outreach & Partnership Development**
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, non-profits, pet owners, and community influencers.
- Identify and coordinate partnership opportunities that align with The Pawsh Dog’s brand and business objectives.
- Represent the company at community events, expos, and neighborhood initiatives.
**Online and Offline Engagement**
- Engage with local and national pet-owner communities both online (forums, social media, community boards) and in-person (pop-ups, workshops, fundraisers).
- Collaborate with event organizers to host or co-sponsor events that promote brand visibility and goodwill.
- Foster conversations that reflect our values and strengthen our brand presence.
**Public Relations & Media Strategy**
- Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and brand stories that resonate with regional and national outlets.
- Develop and implement public relations campaigns to support product launches, service offerings, and strategic initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and public statements.
**Strategic Communications Planning**
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans for campaigns, events, and key seasonal periods.
- Collaborate with marketing to create messaging that aligns across all channels (digital, print, PR).
- Maintain and refine brand voice to ensure consistent tone and style.
**Community Listening & Insight**
- Actively listen to community conversations, online discussions, and local trends to detect emerging issues or opportunities.
- Report findings and make strategic recommendations to improve community standing and engagement.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public relations, community engagement, or communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of online review platforms, social media, and community dynamics.
- Proven experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships.
- Enthusiastic and outgoing with strong interpersonal skills.
- Passion for pets and the pet services industry is a strong asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
Additional pay:
