As the VP of Corporate Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, vision, goals, and direction of our organization. **Role Responsibilities**
- Establish, implement, and oversee financial plans, policies, and fiscal controls, ensuring the preparation and interpretation of financial reports, and safeguarding the organization’s assets.
- Review and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial forecasts, statements, and budgets for stakeholders including the President, Board, Capital Committee, Operations, and Executives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic plan defining short and long-term goals, addressing strategic issues, and creating action plans and budgets for each initiative.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals, driving overall growth and profitability.
- Manage tax compliance, planning, and filing for the company, minimizing risks and ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Oversee corporate governance audits, facilitating compliance and minimizing impacts.
- Manage relationships with minority partners and franchisees, including agreements and renewals.
- Manage and administer all long-term employee investment programs in Canada and the United States.
- Oversee Earls' corporate insurance program.
- Management and maintenance of corporate banking and credit facilities
- Oversee Earls' corporate insurance program and banking facilities.
- Conduct forecasting, modeling, due diligence, and management of corporate structuring for existing and future non-restaurant investments.
- Directly manage financial performance, identifying and mitigating business risks to pursue the company's best interests
- Mentor a team of professionals through day-to-day coaching and long-term development to optimize performance and engagement.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting and completion of the CPA designation.
- Minimum 15 years experience in Finance/Accounting with a minimum of 10 years in senior finance leadership roles.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Experience with multi-unit retail operations.
