Case Manager positions in this branch are used for specialized work as Residential Coordinators, Protection Investigators and/or Residential Care Licensing Case Managers.

- Must be able to provide and maintain satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with the ability to travel on government business within the Province of Manitoba
Qualifications:
**Essential**:
- Post secondary degree in social sciences (preferably BSW).
- Case Management Experience (including counselling, performing assessments, planning, risk assessment, crisis/protective services and service coordination) in a social service setting. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered at a commensurate or underfill classification and salary level.
- Experience in crisis management and assessment of high risk situations/supports required.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to establish working relationships with community partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a complex work environment with high volume caseloads and competing demands.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations and training modules to community partners.
**Desired**:
- Knowledge of the Adults Living with an Intellectual Disability Act.
- Knowledge of service budgets and funding guidelines.
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French.
**Duties**:
Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a social services position within the Community Services and Supports Division of the Department of Families. The incumbent in this position provides case management services to individuals, families, agencies and care providers who are receiving/delivering services to eligible programs. The incumbent is expected to work as a member of an established service delivery team and use sound independent judgement.
