We are a boutique law firm that specializes in Canadian and U.S. immigration. We have a great culture and an unparalleled drive to deliver excellent client service. Our lawyers are licensed to practice law in Ontario, New York, Massachusetts, Florida, and California.

We are seeking an Immigration Law Clerk to work as part of a team and lawyers with Canadian or U.S. immigration matters.

Responsibilities and duties:

- Assisting lawyers with complex legal matters in the areas of Canadian and U.S. immigration.
- Assisting with case strategy and assessments and client management.
- Contacting USCIS, CBP, CIC and other government agencies with respect to client matters.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and responding to queries.
- Managing all timelines, from case initiation to finalization, including providing regular updates to clients and initiating follow-ups on matters in progress.

Position Specific Competencies:

- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent writing, composition and editing skills
- Familiarity with the Canadian Immigration Portals
- Up-to-date knowledge of Canadian and/or US Immigration practices and procedures
- Must be highly organized and have the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple processes at the same time
- Must be a team player willing to work as a group in accomplishing objectives
- Ability to follow instructions and meet tight deadlines
- Positive attitude
