Accounting Specialist

Our client has been around Since 2005, it has grown into one of Canada's largest asset-based trucking corporation led by a combined 150 team drivers, 450 single drivers and owner-operators guided from Brampton, ON headquarters.
- Preparing month-end journal entries and other month-end closing

procedures
- Detailed preparation of account reconciliations for balance

sheet accounts
- Preparing and reviewing adjusting entries and reconciliations to ensure the monthly reporting packages are compliant with GAAP/ASPE and the reporting requirements.
- Preparing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annually; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable
- Researching accounting issues for compliance
- Liaison with external accountants and partners for accounting & tax matters.
- Coverage for other accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in completing the month end process.
- Analyze monthly variances.
- Assist with year-end audit.
- Work Ad hoc and other duties as needed.

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
