IT Analyst - Financial Systems (can be in Toronto or Montreal)

A leading Canadian consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer with operations in Toronto and Montreal, known for combining tradition with innovation. They’re in the middle of a major financial systems modernization, and this role is a key part of making that happen.

Our client is looking for a Functional Analyst to become the **technical owner** of their TM1 platform. You’ll be the “eyes, brain, and hands” of the system, supporting day-to-day operations for over 80 active users, integrating with ERP systems like JD Edwards and SAP, and playing a central role in a company-wide financial systems transformation. This is a role where your expertise will directly shape how the business works tomorrow.

**Principal tasks and responsibilities include**:

- Act as the **technical owner** of TM1: overseeing production support, coding, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Understand data flows and where information originates to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Manage and support integrations between TM1 and ERP/financial systems (JDE, SAP, Datasphere, BI).
- Partner with Finance (process owner) to deliver high-quality reporting, analytics, and consolidation.
- Collaborate with IT leadership on modernization initiatives, ensuring TM1 evolves alongside other financial systems.
- Validate and test integrations to confirm they deliver as intended.
- Support ~80 active TM1 users across finance, manufacturing, and operational teams.
- Contribute to and help lead transformation projects aimed at streamlining reporting, improving system performance, and introducing new capabilities.

**Qualifications and pre-requisites**:

- Proven hands-on experience with TM1, including coding, analytics, and understanding data sources.
- Strong experience integrating TM1 with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or SAP.
- Background in financial reporting within a manufacturing or CPG environment (consolidation, COGS, AP, AR, GL, make-to-stock, make-to-order).
- Direct involvement in business or system transformation initiatives ideally in finance or ERP modernization.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and validate system integrations.
- Strong collaboration skills; able to bridge IT and Finance functions.
- Bonus: CPA designation (or CPA-track) with an IT background.
- Bonus: Bilingual in English and French (strongly preferred if based in Montreal).
