- Your challenge- Reporting to the Vice-President Operations, and in collaboration with the General Sales Manager and the Planning and Distribution Manager, the General’s mission is to develop the company's manufacturing strategy and ensure that Cascades' manufacturing execution and processes are applied in accordance with established operational rules and practices. You also collaborate with departments and centers of expertise to ensure the establishment and maintenance of a continuous improvement’s culture in health and safety and customer-focused quality management practices. Finally, you demonstrate strong operational leadership in all your business units' activities in order to mobilize and realize your team members’ full potential and optimize their adherence to the strategic plan. As a result, you maximize the achievement of business objectives by positively influencing assets’ profitability, costs, quality and delivery times.

- Ensure optimal execution of operations by achieving targets in terms of occupational health and safety, production capacity, standardization of operating costs and quality- Develop the production strategy to optimize production capacity- Manage the CAPEX envelop for optimizing and maintaining equipment and return on investment- Engage and develop all your employees**Responsible**
- Collaborate in the development of a production strategy with the Vice-President OperationsSupport plant managers in setting performance standards (availability, efficiency, OEE)- Serve as a strategic adviser to build, lead and supervise an operational team- Help your team members develop their potential- Actively participate in the creation and implementation of optimization and investment projects- Contribute to the implementation of your business unit’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Regional Administrative Director and the Human Resources Manager- Experiences and strengths- Strong business management experience with a turnover of at least $100 million- Proven financial management skills and a strong ability to analyze financial performance, budgets and economic indicators- Leadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellence- High level of integrity and business acumen that allows your strategic unit to position itself as a leader in the field- Strong communication skills, tact and diplomacy- Recognized talent in strategic management and business development, as well as in innovative planning- Inspiring and results-oriented leadership- Ability to surround yourself with the best talent- Knowledge and experience to anticipate the future within the company’s overall context- Excellent ability to build and support a customer-focused culture based on a people-centred approach- Agility needed to work with various technological tools- Proficiency in French and English- Knowledge of SAP software or other ERP (an asset)**Core competencies defined for this job**
