**Construction Site Supervisor**

**Job description**

Prostar is a growing business and we’re seeking a unique individual to grow with us. As a Construction Site Supervisor, you’ll work in a collaborative team including the project manager, project coordinator, as well as contractors and staff in our hotel and commercial renovation division. (Onboarding will include shadowing an experienced site supervisor and may include working on-the-tools, in such areas as general labour and admin.)

You will be responsible for administration of the job site, managing trades and schedules, liaising with clients, designers and architects, and generally managing the efficiency of the renovation project.

**Responsibilities**
- Working with the project manager and senior company staff to identify challenges, minimize costs and meet all project goals
- Monitoring project schedules, budgets and work progress
- Leading our subcontractors and workers to advance the vision of our company and complete the job on schedule and on budget
- Ensuring the project is in compliance with company standards for safety, cost control, quality and efficiency
- Independently driving production while problem solving any unique challenges that may arise
- Working with clients and other parties such as designers and consultants to execute the project
- Maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders and representing the company with integrity

**Requirements**:
Education in building science or related fields and/or extensive work experience in construction is required, including one or more of the following:

- 5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Supervisor or experience working as an independent contractor managing multiple crews on multiple sites
- 5+ years of hands-on trades work in areas such as: carpentry, painting, restoration, concrete work, etc.
- valid BC driver's license as well as a vehicle and set of tools
- Strong math skills and generally high precision with numbers is preferred
- Proficiency with software, including MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.).
- Proficiency in project management and/or design software, such as MS Project, ProCore, Bluebeam, Revit, etc. is preferred
- Must be fluent in English
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills

**Compensation**

Salary and Bonus: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 + performance bonus per project.

**Ability to commute/relocate**:
Throughout Metro Vancouver and possibly other cities, such as Whistler, Kelowna, Victoria, Nanaimo, depending on the project.

**Experience**: 5 years (required)

**Licence/Certification**:
Drivers Licence (required)

Project Manager training/course work is an asset.

**Education**:

- High school diploma (required)
- Post-secondary education (recommended)

**Experience**:

- local Metro Vancouver work experience: 1 years (required)
- construction experience: 5 years (required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
