**Role Description**:

- **Technical Leadership**: Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, and optimization of Azure-based data solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
- **Azure Data Lake and Databases**:Architect, deploy, and manage Azure Data Lake storage solutions and databases (e.g., SQL Database, Cosmos DB), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
- **Migration Strategy**: Develop and execute comprehensive migration strategies for on-premises data assets to Azure, leveraging Azure services and tools to ensure smooth transition and mínimal disruption to business operations.
- **Azure Data Factory (ADF) Expertise**: Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, orchestrating data workflows and transformations across disparate sources and targets.
- **Azure Database (ADB) Skills**: Configure, manage, and optimize Azure Database services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and other relational and non-relational database offerings.
- **Performance Tuning and Optimization**: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities within Azure data solutions, implementing tuning strategies and best practices to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- **Security and Compliance**: Ensure data security and compliance requirements are met across Azure data solutions, implementing appropriate security controls, encryption mechanisms, and auditing procedures.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business users, data engineers, and IT teams, to gather requirements, define solution architectures, and communicate project status and updates effectively.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

- Monday to Friday

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
