To participate in the production of a new 3D animated feature movie, we are looking for new colleagues, particularly to fill the position of 3D Lead Animation.

This search is part of our continued growth while maintaining the desire to remain a human-sized company that cultivates a caring environment.

Work from the Studio or remotely from the Québec province, Canada.

Responsabilities

Reporting to the department director, your main responsibilities will be:

- Define, prioritise, assign and monitor team tasks and their progress against deliverables and schedule
- Ensure that the animations meet the quality standards, style and vision of the animation director and the director
- Actively participate in the development of team members and act as a mentor by sharing best practices, creating master classes, giving feedback on their performance,...
- Understand and communicate to the team the technical and artistic constraints as well as new developments related to the project
- Anticipate and recognise problems in order to recommend appropriate solutions
- Be the main point of contact for the team members and represent them at meetings and various points
- Collaborate closely with the animation director, the animation coordinator and other departments when necessary
- Take charge of complex shots by bringing to life different types of characters, animals, objects, sets and images
- Ensures that established objectives are met and that deadlines and quotas are respected

Skills & Qualifications

Our next diamond will have to meet the following criteria:

- Minimum 8-10 years experience in character animation on 3D animation productions
- First experience in a team management role required
- Bilingual English &French
- Knowledge of Autodesk Maya software required
- Knowledge of Blender and Shotgrid, an asset
- Good understanding of movement, anatomy, weight and expressions
- Leadership, teamwork and communication skills
- Organizational, time and priority management skills
- Constructive critical thinking and problem solving
- Initiative and a proactive attitude to self-improvement, team and process development
