**Description du poste**:

- Sous la direction du Superviseur CFX, l'artiste est responsable de la création des setup de cloth/hair, des simulations de Cloth/hair pour les personnages 3D animés en veillant à suivre la vision artistique du réalisateur et les directives techniques données par le studio. Il peut être aussi impliqué dans la correction de plan, au niveau du groom ou de la simulation cloth/hair.**Responsabilités**:
- Créer et simuler les effets Cloth/hair sur des modèles 3D animés de personnages et d’animaux en se référant à la direction artistique du projet;-
- Participer au développement des outils utilisés pour réaliser les effets Cloth/Hair;-
- Résoudre les problèmes de façon créative;-
- Collaborer avec les animateurs pour créer des effets Cloth/simulation de Hair, adaptés à l’animation;-
- Tenir l’échéancier et les quotas de production communiqués par le coordonnateur;-
- Exécuter les corrections demandées par le Superviseur et le Réalisateur en faisant preuve d’esprit d’analyse;-
- Travailler avec le Superviseur et le Lead d’équipe pour assurer l’intégration et la maintenance des configurations;-
- Organiser son travail et préparer les éléments de présentation pour les validations;-
- Communiquer et chercher l’information si nécessaire;-
- Maintenir une bonne entente et une bonne dynamique d’équipe;**Compétences exigées**:
- Détenir un diplôme d’études collégiales en infographie 3D / spécialisation animation 3D;-
- Avoir au moins 2 ans d’expérience en Cloth sim / Hair sim dans un environnement de production de film / télé séries d’animation ou dans les effets visuels;-
- Avoir des compétences en animation en rigging et en surfacing est un atout;-
- Avoir une très bonne connaissance de MAYA;-
- Avoir de l’expérience avec MEL ou PYTHON est un plus;-
- Maîtriser les outils de Cloth et de Hair de MAYA : nCloth / nHair / Xgen / Yeti;-
- Avoir une connaissance de la partie cloth et/ou hair dans HOUDINI peut être un plus;-
- Être à l’aise avec l'environnement Linux / Unix;-
- Connaître un asset manager comme Shotgun est un atout;**Statut** : Contrat à durée déterminée

**Job description**:

- The CFX artist works under the supervision of the CFX Supervisor. They are responsible for creating- setup of cloth/hair, simulations of Cloth/hair for animated 3D characters and making sure to follow the artistic vision of the project.We are looking for talented CFX artist for a feature animation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and simulate Cloth/Hair effects on 3D animated character and animals models by referring to the artistic direction of the project;
- Be involved in the tools development used to achieve the Cloth/Hair effects;
- Solve problems creatively;
- Collaborate with animators to create Cloth/Hair effects suitable for animation;
- Keep the timing and production quotas given by the coordination team;
- Execute the corrections requested by the Supervisor and the director by showing an analytic mind;
- Work with the Supervisor and team lead to ensure the integration and maintenance of configurations;
- Organize its work and prepare presentations elements for approval;
- Communicate and seek information if necessary;
- Maintain a good team dynamics;

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma in 3D graphic arts / specialized in 3D animation;
- Minimum 2 years Cloth/Hair Simulation experience in a film production environment / animation TV series or visual effects;
- Skills in animation, rigging and/or surfacing is a plus;
- Strong knowledge of MAYA;
- Experience with MEL or PYTHON is a plus;
- Master the Cloth/Hair tools of MAYA : nCloth / nHair / Xgen / Yeti;
- Be comfortable with a LINUX / UNIX environment;
- Knowledge of Cloth/Hair tools of HOUDINI;
- Knowledge of an asset manager as SHOTGUN is a plus;
