**Position Summary**:
This role focuses on the filling and emptying of the growing rooms starting with the receiving of the Phase III mushroom substrate from the Tunnels Operations, filling the growing rooms with the mushroom substrate and ensures an even depth of a peat moss-based mixture is evenly applied to the surface of the compost; this is known as the Casing Layer. Responsible for the emptying of the growing rooms when the harvest is completed, including cleaning and washing the rooms to the highest possible standards on a consistent basis.

**1. General Duties**:

- Operates Pulling Winch
- Operates Emptying Winch
- Operates Skid Steer and Forklift
- Helps ensure the mushroom compost fills into the growing beds and ensures growing beds are emptied post-harvest
- Washing/cleaning and proper maintenance of Fill/Empty machinery and premises
- Maintains strict hygiene at all times
- Assists the Senior Crew - Fill/Empty Operations as required

**3. Safety**:

- Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
- Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor
- Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the supervisor immediately
- Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation.

**4. Food Safety**:

- Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as trained

**5. Quality**:

- Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications

**Qualifications**:

- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Previous forklift experience
- Previous experience in mushroom, horticultural or agriculture required.
- Prior experience or training in the operation of heavy equipment preferred
- **NO LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**

**Hours of Work**:

- 5 to 6 days / week.
- Approximately 30 to 60 hours per week / 8 to 14 hours per day.
- Public holidays/weekends as scheduled.
- Daily shift start and end times for associates vary based on production.
