**Job Summary**:
This role is responsible for the day-to-day company driver assignments, asset utilization, and overall transportation success to satisfy customer requests. Assist in office procedures regarding transportation and compliance.
- **Job Duties**:_
- Successful planning and oversight of fleet assets to ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction
- Identify and respond to internal and external customer inquiries
- Address and action equipment or staffing shortages
- Ensure commercial fleet assets Preventative Maintenance program is scheduled and upheld
- Provide back-up and support for other team members in times of need
- Demonstrate competency and experience in pricing and quoting transportation services
- Plan and coordinate transportation services involved with company drivers, contract drivers and contract carriers as well as third-party logistics providers
- Involved in evaluating driver performance and driver assessments
- Serve as a point of contact person to support internal and customer needs related to fleet utilization
- Match and file daily paperwork, and complete order tracking and reporting
- Provide regional coverage and solutions for all Western Future Transfer sites
- Ensure driver and fleet compliance is upheld
- Schedule quarterly driver safety meetings to meet company policies
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
- **Requirements**:_
- Solid understanding of transportation regulations, shipping documents and industry compliance required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in dispatching, fleet and logistics management
- Proven ability to have strong planning skills of transportation resources
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced environment
- Great working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge and experience with Samsara an asset
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations professionally and diplomatically
- Attention to detail and strong decision-making skills
- Excellent customer service skills including courteous telephone etiquette
- **Working Conditions**:_
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Flexibility in schedule may be required to accommodate customer needs
- Variable and fluid work environment
