The Manager of Programs & Services provides leadership and day-to-day management for both Residential and Community Program streams. This includes supportive and transitional housing, emergency shelter, outreach, advocacy, prevention initiatives, the Harmony Project, and fee-for-service programs. The Manager ensures high-quality service delivery, staff supervision, program evaluation, and alignment with organizational values and strategic priorities.

**Championing Prevention**
- Advance YWCA Banff’s advocacy priorities and primary prevention initiatives through engagement with local, regional, and national partners.
- Oversee the implementation of the advocacy framework through all service delivery streams.
- Oversee the implementation of the organization’s evaluation framework, database refinement and outcome measurement.
- Work with the Data and Impact Analyst to highlight results, identify gaps and recommend service delivery improvements.
- Liaise with Marketing/Communications for outreach, awareness and program promotion.
- Participate in external committees, working groups, and community initiatives.

**Delivering a Spectrum of Residential Supports**
- Lead delivery, evaluation, and refinement of all program in line with outcomes and grant deliverables.
- Ensure effective case consultation, danger assessments, safety planning, and system navigation support for staff.
- Develop, review, and update program manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee incident reporting, tracking, and follow-up.

**Empowering Our People**
- Provide supervision, coaching and mentorship to the programs and services teams.
- Oversee onboarding, training, professional development, and offboarding for program staff.
- Deliver and train on HR policies, health and safety requirements, and wellness initiatives.
- Coordinate supervisor schedules.
- Foster and promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.

**Build a Secure Funding Model for Future Growth**
- Manage program budgets, contracts, and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all grant and funder reporting requirements.
- Track monthly variances; provide quarterly and annual reports.
- Approve purchases, invoicing, and expenses.
- Contribute to annual budget development and organizational revenue diversification strategies.

**Leadership & Organizational Contribution**
- Act as a member of the YWCA Banff management team.
- Act as back-up to the Director of Programs & Impact when required.
- Contribute to interdepartmental collaboration and strategic planning.
- Represent YWCA Banff externally with professionalism, integrity, and alignment to organizational values.

**Miscellaneous**
- Other duties as identified by the Director of Programs & Impact

**Specific skills and knowledge**:

- Undergraduate Degree in social work, community development, or related field (Graduate degree an asset).
- 5 - 7 years' experience working in the area of sexualized assault, domestic violence, or associated field.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in housing, shelter services, gender-based violence prevention, or community programs.
- Strong knowledge of housing, shelter, domestic/sexual violence, prevention, and community engagement.
- Experience supervising staff and developing programs based on best practices.
- Demonstrated ability in program evaluation, outcome measurement, and government/funder reporting.
- Strong organizational and independent work skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Experience with advocacy, public relations, and stakeholder engagement (asset).
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

**Working at YWCA Banff**

The Manager of Programs & Services is a full-time, year-round position at 37.5 hours per week reporting to the Director of Programs & Impact. This role oversees Residential and Community program streams, with direct reports including Residential Supervisor, Community Supervisor, and the Harmony Project Coordinator. Residential programs operate on a 24/7 model, requiring occasional participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.
