We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our clinic.

**Applicants must be available for some evenings and weekends. Applicants must be available both Saturday and Sunday.**

**Applicants must be fully vaccinated and will have to provide proof**

Flexibility is an asset.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Booking and confirming appointments, processing referrals and answering the phone.

Greeting patients and facilitating an excellent level of customer service throughout the patient’s visit.

Liaise with various doctor offices to ensure completion of referrals or other documents requested. Organize daily charts and other filing.

Operates and maintaining the computerized client information system.

General clerical and administrative support.

Order and maintaining supplies and equipment.

Billing non-OHIP covered services and cash handling.

**Qualifications include but are not limited to**:
**One (1) year related experience in a family practice/walk-in setting.**

Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and scheduling program.

Knowledge of EMR computer systems. Preference given to those with EMR Advantage experience.

Familiarity with a healthcare environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, organize workload and plan independently.

Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with complex, stressful situations and multiple demands.
