_AutoCity Sales & Auto 9000 Sales is looking for a _**Accountant and Bookkeeper**_ _to transform our _**Accounting Department**_. We are searching for an experienced and productive accounting professional to oversee the financial activities of this dealership, with the possibility to grow. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing the dealership’s accounting including payroll, preparing, and analyzing financial statements and driving continuous improvement in our financial and operational processes. _
- AutoCity Sales and Auto 9000 Sales is a rapidly growing Pre-Owned Sales Group, looking to expand our sales force and accounting staff._

**Job Duties**:
**Reporting**:

- Produce and analyze financial statements.
- Preparing all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by the General Manager & CEO including, but not limited to, monthly reconciliations, monthly and quarterly reporting, financial analysis, year-end reporting, etc.
- Completing analysis or requests made by the Senior Leadership and/or General Manager.

**Leadership & Management**:

- Process Payroll
- Perform tasks to ensure financial functions are reconciled monthly including, but not limited to, cash, accounts receivables, warranty, prepaid expenses, manufacturer statements, vehicle deal commissioning, inter-company accounts, accounts payable, tax remittances, etc.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to facilitate accurate and timely information along with appropriately safeguarding company assets.
- Develop and prepare financial forecasts and budgets as necessary.
- Review and maintain contracts with key suppliers.

**Overall**:

- Ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare accounts for payment and verify data in system.
- Follow up on past due accounts and returned checks.
- Post deals.
- Post invoices.
- Reconcile statements.
- Disburse cheques.
- Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
- Dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CDK is an asset.
- Have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Are a self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel is required.
- Daily Banking reconciling
- Create, analyze, and finalize the dealer's month-end financial statement
- Produce and examine expense reports
- Post and maintain monthly standard entries
- Reconcile monthly rebates from the applicable Manufacturer
- Work alongside departmental managers for Bank Audits
- Lien Payouts/Vehicle Purchases; Prepare Checks accordingly
- Oversee and prepare the monthly floor plan report for use in commission calculations; manage the payoff of the vehicle floor plan and work with bank representatives
- Posting Deals for accurate commission and bonus' as required
- Additional accounting responsibilities that arise in the future

**Working Arrangement**:

- Unique in the dealership space.
- Ongoing, field-specific training is supported.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:
