Head of Marketing

**Position Summary**

Our Marketing team combines both Performance Marketing and Brand Strategy/Campaigns into a single centre of excellence This cross functional team of 15+ associates spans Brand Strategy, Data Science, Process Management, and more. Our Head of Marketing will lead this team, further develop our marketing culture, and partner closely with peers throughout the business to drive Capital One Canada’s growth. We are excited about our future, and we need your help to get there

**More specifically, the Head of Marketing position includes**:

- Leading a talented, cross-functional team ranging from Associate to Senior Manager who cover the full funnel of marketing
- Acting as an analytical marketing coach to the existing leaders and associates on the team
- Helping to shape the business and brand strategy for Capital One Canada
- Effectively partnering with leaders in product, technology, design, creative, operations, and more to deliver best-in-class products and services that delight Canadian prospects and customers
- As a Director, you will be a member of our Canadian Business Leadership Team (BLT). This means playing a leadership role within Capital One Canada, contributing to shaping our organizational culture, priorities and more. To give you a flavour of the BLT (pun intended), recent topics that the group has focused on include associate engagement, growth priorities, and more

**Who We Are Looking For**

**We are looking for**:

- A passionate leader with experience in 1) performance marketing, including strategy, execution and measurement and 2) brand strategy and campaign execution
- We know there are some folks who “don’t do numbers,” and we want to be up front: this won’t be the role for you We are a data driven company obsessed with measurement
- Strong creative/marketing intuition and a proven track record of achieving key in-market results
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; this role involves collaborating with peers, presenting to the Senior Leadership Team, coaching others, and more. Storytelling is a key component of the gig
- Exceptional people leadership skills with a track record of leading teams (and ideally teams of teams). This includes an uncompromising passion for diversity and inclusion
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, including 5 years of team/people leadership
