Assistant General Managers (AGM’s) work alongside their General Manager, helping to oversee both back of house and front of house operations. **PRIMARY DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The Team:_
- Assisting the General Manager in hiring, training and managing a knowledgeable, efficient and personable team
- Ensuring their team exemplifies iQ’s brand values and shares our passion for health, wellness and delicious food
- Assisting the General Manager in creating a positive workplace by providing feedback and encouraging dialogue and communication amongst team members
- Assisting the General Manager in setting schedules for the team each week
- The Restaurant:_
- Front of House
- Fluency with all front of house equipment (espresso machines, POS Systems, music systems, etc.)
- Ensuring all front of house areas are impeccably organized and clean at all times
- Taking ownership of all merchandizing efforts (following company directive to create a first-class merchandizing experience)
- Back of House
- Fluency with all of the Company’s back of house equipment (ovens, food processors, etc.), procedures and recipes
- Ensuring kitchen, fridges, freezers, food prep and equipment areas are impeccably organized, in good working order, and clean at all times
- Inventory Management
- Assisting the General Manager w/ the procurement and inventory management of all food, beverage and other goods for use / sale in the restaurant
- The Operation:_
- During peak periods, AGM’s frequently work alongside their teams in both the back and front of house - anchoring the pace and setting the tone for service. They are constantly scanning the restaurant for issues and regularly find themselves working alongside their teams and interacting with guests
- AGM’s cultivate confidence, efficiency and positivity in their team by training correctly and helping people improve and learn on a daily basis
- The Numbers:_
- Working alongside the General Manager to achieve monthly performance goals (e.g. food costs, labour costs, order accuracy, etc.) as set out by the Company

**QUALITIES + QUALIFICATIONS WE LOOK FOR**:

- Embodiment of our core values
- A natural leader with the ability to coach others
- Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas, justify opinions, and make a logical case for any meaningful project you put forward
- Prior experience in a retail or hospitality environment is required
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role is highly preferred, but not required
- Prior experience as a barista is highly preferred, but not required
