Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, including hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist users with VPN access, firewall configurations, and LAN connectivity problems.
- Manage service requests using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Support network infrastructure components including routers, switches, and firewalls to maintain secure and reliable connectivity.
- Conduct hardware diagnostics and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with end-users to provide updates and guidance on issue resolution. Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with knowledge of desktop support and computer networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and their respective troubleshooting procedures.
- Hands-on experience with VPN configurations, firewall management, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, and network security best practices.
- Proficiency with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for managing support requests.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and basic repair procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
