**Job purpose**
The Material Handler/Shipping Receiver reports to the Supply Chain Manager. This position is, in partnership with Logistics Lead, responsible for handling all inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring that only quality product is shipped and received at all times. This position is also responsible for the warehousing of all products and materials and for the safety, appearance, and cleanliness of the warehouse areas for storage, the perimeter of the buildings, and shipping and receiving.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- This position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:_
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Ensure that your behaviors contribute to effective, positive working relationships on the team.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with our Quality System.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assists Logistics Lead with the following daily tasks:

- Deliver/Pick-up product from outside vendors
- Use Forklift to load and unload materials from in-bound/out-bound carriers
- Generate Purchase Orders for outside processing
- Generate Packing slips/Customs paperwork for all outgoing product
- Receiving product in TFI ERP system
- Make Boxes
- Packing product to ship to customer/outside vendors
- Ensure correct labels are on boxes
- Wrap skids for customer shipments and outside processes
- Assist Logistics Lead in liaising with freight companies/outside processors (coverage in Logistics Lead absence)
- Miscellaneous driving of company vehicle, as required

**Skills & Abilities**
- Capable driver with a exemplary driving record; driver abstract required.
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to follow production priorities.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Quality-focused and detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Computer literate with a basic understanding of excel and word, an asset
- Basic understanding of shipping/receiving documents and knowledge of international shipping requirements, an asset
- Forklift training required (will be completed internally at TFI)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs

**Salary**: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
