**Overview**
The Shipper/Receiver is essential in ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This role requires organizational and operational skills to manage shipping and receiving activities, maintain accurate inventory, and coordinate with various departments to meet production and shipping deadlines.

ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:_
- Always ensures and maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Ensure that all behaviours contribute to effective working relationships with the team.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with our HR Policy and Procedure Manual, and our Quality System.
- Provides additional backup support as requested by Director of Operations
- Pull, package, label, assemble on pallets and ship finished goods in alignment with production schedules.
- Partner with production and operations to prioritize and fulfill orders accurately and on time.
- Prepare accurate documentation for outbound shipments, including bills of lading and shipping labels (international shipments), custom forms and invoices and all other shipping documents as required.
- Responsible for arranging all logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Responsible to track, trace and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare purchase orders for all outside processing
- Prepare purchase orders for consumable products, as directed by Director of Operations
- Manage the receipt of raw materials, supplies and all products for production.
- Promptly unloads/loads trucks and deliveries using forklift and hand truck, as required.
- Responsible to follow up on all outside processing orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborate and communicate with Director of Operations, Inside Sales, Accounts Payables, Service Providers and others involved to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials.
- Maintain quality control of goods by verifying incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods if required.
- Receive all purchase orders into ERP system.
- Implement and monitor inventory control practices, including regular cycle counts.
- Maintain optimal stock levels by coordinating with production planning.
- Identify and address discrepancies in inventory records, focusing on finished goods and outside processing.
- Responsible to perform month-end inventory count on finished goods and outside processing WIP
- Work closely with the production team to prioritize and schedule shipments.
- Proactively communicate any delays or issues affecting production schedules.
- Ensure a continuous flow of materials to and from the production floor.
- Enforce quality control measures for both incoming materials and outgoing goods.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to address and resolve any quality issues.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation partners.
- Provide regular updates on shipping and receiving activities to management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales to address any shipping-related inquiries or issues.

MININUM EDUCATION:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or manufacturing are a plus.
- Proven experience in a shipping and receiving leadership role within a manufacturing setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and inventory management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with shipping and inventory management software.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly

REQUIRED TRAINING:

- Annual WSIB Training
- **Every 3 Years**: Forklift Training.
