We aim to "Fill The Soul" of our guests and our team **JOB DESCRIPTION** Driven by a passion for food and people our Head Chef will be responsible for, training and development of team members, maintain high standard of food quality and recipes while providing our guests with a unique experience, work and execute shifts to a high caliber, work with the Sous Chef, Kitchen supervisors and current team to maintain kitchen cleanliness, perform weekly and monthly admin functions according to our policies and procedures and as it relates to OEB’s goals and expectations. Most of all, the Head Chef will be crucial in maintaining our vibrant and diverse work culture and environment. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Completing OEB knowledge training on policies, procedures, and all other tools necessary to excel at OEB - Follow systems and recipes to achieve targeted food costs and quality - Ongoing completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists - Complete daily line check sheets - Placing orders and restocking of items - Working on the line with the kitchen team in various roles - Ensuring cleanliness of kitchen and necessary controls are in place as required - Working with AGM and GM to ensure effective communication between Front of House and Back of House - Assist the GM as required with all other duties as delegated **SKILLS & REQUIRMENTS** - Enthusiastic, outgoing, and positive attitude - Skilled in building and maintaining a positive work culture - High level of organization and multi-tasking skills - Ability to work as a team and with mínimal supervision - Willing to take initiative and a drive to learn - Red Seal Certification or equivalent an asset but NOT required - Maintaining a clean work environment - Knowledge of Provincial food safety standards and practices - Thrive in a fast-paced environment - Communication skills: Read, write, and speak English - 2+ years of kitchen experience in a fast paced restaurant environment required - 2-5 years of experience in a leadership role, such as Sous Chef or Head Chef - No evening shifts required as store hours are 7am to 3pm daily but must have the ability to work early mornings and weekends **Salary**: $38,000.00-$48,000.00 per year Schedule: - Every Weekend - Holidays - Morning shift Supplemental pay types: - Tips **Experience**: - Kitchen Leadership: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person
