**Position Summary**:
Are you an analytical thinker with a strong background in **mechanical or electrical** fields within the commercial sector? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an Estimator at EDL Building Solutions. You will play a pivotal role in accurately assessing project requirements and costs, contributing to our mission of delivering peace of mind to our diverse range of clients.

**Performance Objectives**:

- Review project specifications and collaborate with stakeholders to understand project scope.
- Analyze plans to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical and electrical projects using advanced software tools.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Present detailed proposals to clients, showcasing project scope, costs, and timelines in person or virtually.
- Maintain a comprehensive database to enhance estimating accuracy.
- Attend, contribute to, and demonstrate top performance in daily sales training and development courses offered by the company.

**Capabilities / Key Competencies**:

- Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or AutoBID.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

**Education & Experience**:

- **Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal.**:

- **Controls, automation, and building systems experience is an asset.**:

- **Equivalent experience in a previous estimation role.**

**Working Conditions**:

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client and job sites as needed.

Pay: $80,000.00-$165,000.00 per year
