Maintain & increase sales by providing superior service to customers in person and over the telephone. Providing a shopping experience that will encourage customers to return by demonstrating product knowledge and professionalism.

**Responsibilities**:
Ø Increase sales by developing product knowledge and selling skills.

Ø Maintain a high level of customer service by providing exceptional customer service.

Ø Actively promote the products & services of Kingston Home Hardware Building Centre.

Ø Assist customers in various departments and provide back up for fellow co-workers.

Ø Update your product knowledge and take ownership of training opportunities.

Ø Work as a team & help promote good store morale.

Ø Customer service skills, organizing, planning, time management, communication, consultative relationship selling, & customer service skills.

Ø Product knowledge, knowledge of policies, procedures & services, computer & telephone skills.

Ø Finding answers to customer questions.

Ø Greet and acknowledge customers (by name when possible)

Ø Determine customer needs.

Ø Assist customers in all departments when required.

Ø Stock shelves

Ø Complete sectional maintenance (price changes, front face, dust, bin label changes, re-merchandising, etc.)

Ø Complete accurate cycle counts; manage inventory levels to maximize profit

Ø Adjust min and max quantities when needed.

Ø Process orders both regular and special

Ø Create eye catching displays.

Ø Be a resource for others, answering their questions and assisting them when able.

Ø Assist with carry-outs with customer’s products.

Ø Maintain cleanliness and organization (garbage is picked up, floors are swept, shelves, etc.)

Ø Follow in-store workplace health and safety policies.

Ø Follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Ø Strong interpersonal, organizational, customer service and time management skills.

Ø Technical and problem-solving skills.

Ø Retail sales experience is an asset.

Ø Ability to work flexible schedule including Saturdays.

Ø Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
