The Yard Supervisor is a leader who possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills and is capable of motivating others. The Supervisor is responsible for all activities of the yard including yard employees, equipment, vehicles, deliveries, receiving and unloading, yard housekeeping and maintenance of all yard equipment and delivery vehicles. In co-ordination with the Store Manager, the Yard Supervisor is responsible for providing an environment of first class customer service and ensuring the safety of our employees (including temporary workers and co-op students), customers and vendors
WHAT ARE YOUR DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS?
- Hold yourself accountable to the Values of Moffatt and Powell
- Lead, mentor and coordinate the work of all yard associates and delivery drivers
- Follows all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Health and Safety Handbook, Policy Manual and all other organization communication
- Supervise, train and motivate yard staff to ensure prompt, courteous and efficient customer service
- Assist with filing delivery orders and loading trucks as required
- Ensure accurate and safe handling of all vehicles loading and unloading both company delivery vehicles and customer vehicles
- Supervise yard inventory counts both cyclical and for year-end inventory
- Provide professional customer service experience, in accordance with company standards
- Maintain proper yard organization and clean up as per company standards
- Develop and maintain staff work schedules to ensure efficient yard operation
- Maintain regular communication with Store Manager regarding scheduling and inventory status

Sanitizing is done throughout the store, yard and machines and we are practicing physical distancing. All customers and employees are required to wear a mask in the store
