This summer, we’re opening one of the most exciting new restaurants in the city — a premium Chinese dining experience that blends deep cultural roots with modern flair, refined presentation, and meticulous hospitality. We’re assembling a powerhouse team, and now we’re looking for a Head Chef with the leadership, skill, and vision to help us bring it to life.
This isn’t a build-from-scratch role — our concept is dialed in, our recipes are tested, and our core kitchen team is in place. What we need now is a chef who can take it to the next level. Someone who thrives on execution, systems, and excellence. Someone who knows how to lead kitchens in Toronto. Someone who respects tradition but lives to innovate.
If you’re fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin, even better — but what matters most is that you can lead with purpose, build with precision, and bring intensity and inspiration to a multicultural kitchen team.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS ABOUT
This is a rare opportunity to shape a flagship opening and push Chinese cuisine forward in Canada. We’re not here to play it safe — and neither should you be. We want to reimagine what Chinese dining can look and feel like in a city like Toronto.
As our Head Chef, you’ll be expected to:
- Lead the line with presence and accountability — high volume, high standards, no compromises
- Collaborate closely with our Chinese culinary leads to finesse plating and presentation
- Elevate traditional dishes into visually stunning, modern plates that retain their soul
- Systematize everything — from daily prep routines to deep-clean schedules, recipe binders, food costing, and allergy protocols
- Train and lead a professional team — with the respect and discipline you’d expect from a top-tier kitchen
- Ensure flawless execution across service, food safety, health inspections, and inventory
- Champion culture and consistency, especially as we grow from soft opening to city staple

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years in a leadership chef role — preferably in one of Toronto’s top kitchens
- A deep understanding of structure, systems, and execution — not just cooking, but running a kitchen like a well-oiled machine
- Strong roots or familiarity with Chinese cuisine — and a passion for presenting it in new ways
- Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a strong asset
- Plating finesse and modern culinary aesthetics are essential
- Solid connections in Toronto’s culinary community — you know how to build a great team
- A calm, communicative, team-first leadership style

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
