**The Opportunity - Plant Manager/GM, rubber recycling operations**
Senior level Plant Manager for our rubber recycling operation in Brantford, ONT. The new leader will be responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing and supply chain business. Duties include the management of overall site operations including staffing, production, maintenance, capex, all sources of supply, and coordination of fulfilling market demand, while ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements. Site staff includes production, maintenance, EHS, supply chain, HR, and finance. This is a senior operations role, reporting directly to the COO, which will own the business budget and accountability for overall results.
**Principal Responsibilities**
- Achieve the business operating plan
- Hands-on leadership of the team
- Develop and enable a world-class site team and operations processes
- Continually improve productivity and efficiency
- Ensure a safe working environment; oversee management systems; protect employees and the organization against risk, including operating safety
- Perform necessary administrative functions related to the position, including reporting to executive management through monthly reports, operations meetings
- Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical discipline
- Currently in a plant manager role with an employee base of 70+ employees
- 15+ years overall industrial manufacturing experience in North America
- Understanding the requirements of a 24x7 operation
- Experience in managing larger operating and capital budgets
- Experience in planning, resource allocation, employee relations, staff and shop floor leadership, and hands-on coordination of people and resources
- Experience with quality and EHS systems implementation and regulatory compliance
- Strong track record driving operations improvement
**Work Conditions**
- This role is responsible for a 24x7 manufacturing operation
- Industrial rubber recycling operation with wide temperature fluctuation and extensive industrial hygiene and dust management requirements
