Supply Chain Technician

**The Role**:
We have an immediate opening for a talented **Supply Chain Technician** in Richmond, BC. You will begin your career at Saltworks working in our warehouse receiving goods, during which time you will be exposed to the many different aspects within the industry. Saltworks is growing and this position has career development opportunities such as supply chain administration (including purchasing, inventory management, and logistics) and potentially working up to supply chain supervisory roles.

**Requirements**:

- A motivated individual who is looking to start a career in Supply Chain
- General familiarity with working in a warehouse/industrial environment
- Willingness to learn and be mentored by seasoned professionals
- Willingness to start from the ground-up
- Good communicator and team player
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently **(re-certification will be provided if needed)**:

- Good at counting and organizing
- Basic computer skills (Windows, Excel)
- Class 5 drivers license

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive goods into the warehouse and inventory system
- Store goods in correct bin locations
- Package and crate outgoing shipments, including building custom crates
- Assist in keeping the warehouse clean
- Pick orders according to picking lists
- Count and organize the inventory

**You will develop the following skills**:

- Inventory and raw materials handling for complex industrial machinery
- ERP software
- Become trained on safe work and safe tooling practices
- Learn what our skilled Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering teams do by supporting the delivery of projects.
- Develop technical skills such as: purchasing from local and international suppliers, how to create and tracking purchase orders, and how to build lasting relationships with suppliers.
