This position is a Job Share on a 12 Month Contract. The Purchasing and Accounting Clerk is responsible for the evaluation and purchase of supplies and coordination of service requirements on terminal (excluding mechanical and electrical). The role also provides support to various accounting roles as required.

**In this role, you will**:

- Monitor and order stationery and supplies for the office, researching products/supplies as required for competitive pricing and quality control by reviewing vendors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance of procurement process with assignment of purchase order numbers and preparation of purchase orders for all orders of supplies and services in Maximo.
- Reconcile deliveries with orders and packing slips.
- Maintain records of pricing, warranties and other records required for Procurement dept.
- Track, receive, distribute and monitor office supplies and inventory, managing the storage of supplies on dock.
- Coordinate services and deliveries and manage regular and non-routine service provider schedules.
- Provide support to accounting team as required, and based on needs that support A/P and A/R.

**What you bring to the role**:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Experience with Great Plains, Agresso and Maximo systems are assets.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high volume setting.
- Exceptional computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software.
- Possess knowledge of accounting concepts
- A willingness to take initiative to solve problems and a desire to identify process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clear and concise information in an accurate and informative manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with your team and other departments.
