**Salary Range: $130-150k**
**Strategic Sourcing**:
- Own the process for the selection, development and implementation of new sources of supply to meet commodity/business performance objectives, and/or support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Lead the key contract negotiations and champion the decision making process through data/fact driven business cases to support the Strategic Plan.
- Provide support to the Bids & Proposal teams with volume step costing and specific supply market intelligence for future business pursuits.
- Provide guidance and support to the supplier selection processes using spend and market analysis, concise requests for proposals (RFPs), and ensure data driven approach to supplier selection.
Commodity Management:
- Plan, organize, manage and evaluate the commodity management for the critical categories (Electrical, Mechanical, Sensor and Optical). Own the business review process with key suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance and the future business needs are aligned.
- Secure best possible pricing, security of supply (risk management) and contractual coverage, and ensure that our client is protected and leverages its network and global position.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to optimize commodity management activities in order to achieve cycle time performance improvement, increased capacity, lowest total costs, robust risk mitigation plans and continuous quality improvement.
- Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure a smooth transition from NPI into production, provide leadership in the management of the key suppliers, as well as pro-actively develop and action Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) or any mitigation plans to improve On Time Delivery (OTD) and First Pass Yield (FPY) to target levels.
- Ensure the Commodity Managers are an escalation point for the Production Buyers, and manage critical supplier recovery schedules to meet the organization's demand requirements.
- Report regularly to leadership on changing market conditions and competitive intelligence within each category markets and take proactive steps to diversify sources of supply.
Required Capabilities
- Prior experience managing direct reports and motivating teams towards common goals
- Experience in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing, and managing complex and international supply channels
- Proficiency in managing projects with cost sensitivity and an overall strong business acumen with proven bottom line results.
- Experience working in Procurement functions such as Commodity Management, Supplier Performance, Delivery Assurance, or Purchasing is highly preferred
- Experience managing or leading complex and high budget projects, programs or teams
- Demonstrated success in developing detail plans and carrying through to successful execution
- Demonstrated ability to establish credibility with business counterparts
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and ERP systems
Desired Education and Experiences
- University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Finance, or other related degree with **7+ years' experience in commodity/supply chain/procurement.**
