**Starting Salary**: $34,320 - $40,000 (commensurate with experience).
**Position Status**: Full-Time with benefits and a complimentary YMCA membership

**Nature & Scope**:
The Housekeeping Supervisor role is an integral part of the branch operations, playing a significant role in helping the branch exceed member service expectations related to the general cleanliness and upkeep of the Facility.

This is a hands-on position responsible for assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive cleaning program that exceeds the levels of service excellence as determined by YMCA standards, while supporting the branch leadership team in the general operation of the building.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee housekeeping team comprised of full time and part time staff up to 10
- Scheduling and payroll accountability.
- Manage cleaning staff performance and the hiring process
- Performs lead hand function for Cleaning staff in assignments and performance of tasks to meet and exceed SAM standards
- Acts as a resource for general cleaning, training and branch cleaning issues
- Co-ordinates room and function set-up
- 50% cleaning and modelling expectations,50%management/coordination
- Acts as primary contact branch cleaning operations.
- Works with Branch Leadership Team to ensure share responsibility for cleaning standards in each program area.
- Supports Branch Leadership Team and branch operations as required
- Responsible for procurement of cleaning supplies and working with cleaning suppliers.
- Maintain positive relationship building with other YMCA services that rent space in HFA facilities to ensure cleaning standards achieved (i.e. child care, Association Services).
- Processes invoices, etc. for signature, work with Facility Workgroup to review procurement and pricing for cleaning.
- Orders supplies and manages contractor/vendor relationships for cleaning
- Manages schedule aligned to annual budget process and processes payroll
- Annual project cleaning plan coordination to align with capital and operational budgets
- Ensure all procedures aligned to health and safety practices.
- Schedule and run staff meetings and trainings

**Qualifications**:

- 2 - 5 years working experience in Maintenance or Cleaning Services with knowledge of building cleaning systems and processes
- Working knowledge of supply procurement, processing of invoices and associated record keeping processes
- Interpersonal skills with proficient communication skills and ability to lead a team
- Comfortable with basic computer use and programs, or ability to learn
- Must provide a current Criminal Record and Judicial Matters check, issued within the past six months.
