Greater Toronto Area, Canada Order in the House Full time

**Location**: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), must be willing to travel throughout the GTA

**Job Type**: Contract / Freelance

**Reports To**: Owner / Creative Director

**Start Date**: May 2025 / Immediate

**About Us**:

- Order in the House_ is a Toronto-based home staging, organizing, and moving company focused on creating calm, cohesive, beautiful and functional spaces. With over 16 years of experience, we offer professional home staging, organizing, decluttering, and packing/unpacking services. Our mission is to simplify and elevate every home with clarity, beauty, and ease stress during life’s most overwhelming moments.

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, experienced and compassionate **Lead Organizer / Move Manager** to join our growing team. In this hands-on, client-facing role, you will lead organizing and move management jobs from consultation to completion. You’ll work directly with individuals and families to declutter, sort, and streamline their belongings while facilitating and implementing sustainable organizing systems that bring calm, clarity, and function to their everyday lives. Additionally, you’ll guide clients through major life transitions—such as downsizing, divorce, estate clearing, or relocation—by supporting every phase of the process including packing, moving, and unpacking into their new homes.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Lead Organizing Projects**: Oversee the full organizing process, from initial consultation and space assessment to hands-on decluttering, system implementation, and final setup.
- **Create Calm & Order**: Declutter, sort, and categorize household items while implementing organizing systems that are functional, sustainable, and tailored to client needs.
- **Coordinate Donations & Disposal**: Arrange donation drop-offs or pickups, manage responsible disposal, and establish clear labelling systems.
- **Product Sourcing**: Source and recommend products that fit within client budgets and project requirements, ensuring that items align with organizing systems and aesthetics.
- **Lead Moving Projects**: Manage the entire moving process, from planning and packing to overseeing moving day logistics and coordinating efficient unpacking and setup.
- **Manage Logistics**: Oversee day-of operations and direct small teams during organizing, packing and unpacking sessions to ensure a smooth, seamless transition.
- **Support Clients**: Provide calm, empathetic guidance to clients navigating sensitive life changes such as downsizing, divorce, or estate clearing.
- **Handle Packing & Unpacking**: Pack and unpack homes with care, precision, and attention to detail, ensuring items are properly protected and placed.
- **Problem Solving**:Bring creative problem-solving to time-sensitive or space-challenged situations.
- **Communication**: Maintain clear, respectful, and professional communication throughout the project to ensure a positive client experience.
- **Consultations & Project Planning**:Conduct thorough on-site consultations to assess client needs, gather essential information (e.g., measurements), and identify goals and challenges. Craft detailed project plans, including solutions, timelines, and actionable steps to guide both clients and team members throughout the process.
- **Support Admin & Logistics**: Track inventory, project hours, and supplies; assist with scheduling, sourcing materials, and handling administrative tasks.
- **Brand Representation**: Uphold our brand and maintain a high level of professionalism at every job site to reflect the quality and care clients expect.
- **Client Satisfaction**: Ensure client satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns or requests, providing excellent customer service, and fostering positive relationships.

**What You Bring**:

- **Experience**: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in professional organizing, move management, or a similar field
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong innate skills in sorting, categorizing, and system-building with an eye for functionality and detail, and a willingness to support staging jobs as part of full-service project execution.
- **Leadership & Communication**: Ability to lead organizing and moving jobs, manage teams effectively, and ensure clear, calm communication with both clients and team members.
- **Empathy & Emotional Intelligence**: The ability to offer compassionate support during sensitive transitions, while managing stress in time-sensitive situations.
- **Physical Stamina**: Capable of lifting boxes, standing and working on your feet for extended periods and managing the physical aspects of the job.
- **Driver’s License & Vehicle**:A valid driver’s license and access to an SUV or larger vehicle are required for transporting work-related materials like organizing supplies, boxes, etc.

**You’re a Great Fit If You**:

- Thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments with a positive, solution-focused mindset.
- Are adaptable and able to adjust quickly
