Financial Inventory Analyst

**What You'll Do;**

As a Financial Inventory Analyst with Sporting Life Group (SLG), you will support our retail store across all three national banners: Golf Town, Sporting Life, and Team Town Sports.

We have created this new position to play a pivotal role in supporting the imminent launch of our new ERP system, impacting the implementation and data validation from the current ERP system Sage to Dynamics 365. You will work cross-functionally with all levels of stakeholders to provide financial insight to our merchandising, logistics, store operations, and IT teams, focusing on inventory control best practices and root cause/problem-solving any discrepancies.

Reporting to and working with the Inventory Manager, you will create and maintain an action plan to manage inventory accuracy between our 3PL partner and SLG Retail while preparing weekly and monthly reports for management, providing critical insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Creating and maintaining large data sets to produce various reports & KPIs for multiple departments across our three banners, including inventory accuracy and movement audits, inventory ageing and obsolescence reporting and shrink analysis.
- Analyzing the movement of our products in the supply chain to identify and resolve existing problems.
- Leading in the coordination and execution of our physical inventory and cycle count processes.
- Preparing month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to support month-end and year-end close.
- Analyzing inventory, down to SKU level, to identify opportunities to minimize obsolete inventory provisions.
- Support D365's rollout to stores for processes that have financial implications and comply with audit requirements.

**What You'll Bring;**
- Proven experience in financial or accounting inventory in a high-volume business.
- Previous retail exposure with a solid knowledge and understanding of inventory management.
- Highly motivated and a natural problem solver with the ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks
- Computer skills (Microsoft D365, Excel, MS Word, Power BI, PowerPoint)
