SUMMARY
**The Stronger Together**: Gender Based Violence Prevention and Support Project aims to significantly reduce gender-based violence (GBV) in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) by employing integrated strategies that encompass education, community capacity building, early intervention, and economic empowerment for survivors. Its overarching goal is to create a supportive environment that addresses GBV comprehensively.
The Community Liaison will focus on developing partnerships with community-based organizations for the purpose of delivering resources and workshops on gender-based violence related topics. The position involves assisting with workshop creation, resource gathering, and support the launch of interventions, including information sessions, workshops, and the distribution of tools and resources. The Community Liaison will also develop best practices that promote the prevention of gender-based violence.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist the Manager with the development and implementation of a robust promotion/outreach plan to target relevant community partners.
- Develop and deliver outreach-oriented presentations to potential community partners in addition to other outreach strategies to ensure consistent program visibility and relationship development in the community.
- Implement the planned marketing strategies among community-based organizations, schools (colleges, universities, high schools), places of worship, etc. and at community events
- Conduct wide-ranging consultations with community partners (via focus groups, roundtables, discussion forums, surveys, interviews etc.) to obtain their perspectives on existing practices, solutions to identify best practices and to increase understanding of the solutions to reduce gender-based violence.
- Conduct targeted information sessions and workshops to key partners across the GTA to raise awareness of the project and to entice audiences for further participation in more meaningful engagement in the other interventions at a deeper level.
- Assist with program review and evaluation by using a variety of tools and methods.
- Gather data, conduct periodic review of the project activities and impact by soliciting participants and key partners’ feedback.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking workshop attendance and resources distributed, as well as community organizations served in adherence to agency privacy and confidentiality policies.
- With input from project team, execute short
- and long-term marketing strategies.
- Provide a monthly update report to Manager.
- Oversee timely and accurate submission of all statistical and program information to be used in internal and external reports.
- Maintain positive and clear communication with other team members to facilitate teamwork, successful target management and customer service.
- Perform other related duties, as required and as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of a post-secondary University Degree or College Diploma in social services or related
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in the non-profit sector, ideally with women and/or those facing barriers
- Excellent presentation skills, with a proven track record of facilitating workshops, information sessions and focus groups
- Demonstrated diplomacy, interpersonal communication skills, cultural sensitivity, problem solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge of relevant community resources and partners in the Greater Toronto Area to address the needs of participants
- Experience preparing promotional materials and implementing outreach strategies
- Experience with various administrative tasks such as data entry, tracking, stats collection, and report writing
