**Position Summary**:
**The Anti-Racism Program Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of MHHS’s Anti-Racism Program. This position plays a vital role in empowering communities affected by racism through direct support, public education, community engagement, and systemic advocacy. The Coordinator will also work closely with the Racist Incident Helpline, ensuring timely, culturally safe referrals and support services.**

**This role requires a compassionate, organized, and community-centered individual with a deep understanding of anti-racism frameworks, trauma-informed practices, and grassroots programming.**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Program Coordination & Delivery**
- **Plan, organize, and facilitate empowerment workshops (in-person and virtual) for individuals impacted by racism.**
- **Coordinate trauma-informed support circles, peer mentoring, and healing activities for diverse communities.**
- **Lead the development and maintenance of a new online hub for anti-racism resources and community engagement.**
- **Manage scheduling, logistics, and materials for program delivery.**

**Referral & Support Services**
- **Collaborate with the Racist Incident Helpline team to manage and track referrals.**
- **Ensure individuals contacting the helpline are connected to appropriate services quickly and respectfully.**
- **Answer telephone and in-person inquiries about professionalism, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.**
- **Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local services and supports for timely and accurate referrals.**

**Community Engagement**
- **Organize and execute public events such as mental health fairs, art shows, and community forums.**
- **Engage young adults and volunteers in leadership and advocacy opportunities.**
- **Build and maintain relationships with community partners, organizations, and stakeholders.**
- **Represent the organization at outreach events and community meetings.**

**Training & Capacity Building**
- **Develop and deliver training to peer leaders and volunteers to build grassroots capacity for anti-racism support.**
- **Support community advocates with tools and education on systemic racism and resilience strategies.**
- **Contribute to the development of culturally relevant educational materials and toolkits.**

**Communications & Media**
- **Oversee public education and awareness campaigns using social media, public art, and media partnerships.**
- **Collaborate on content creation and storytelling efforts that amplify community voices.**
- **Ensure consistent messaging and branding across communication platforms.**
- **Respond to media inquiries and assist with press releases as needed.**

**Monitoring & Evaluation**
- **Track program outcomes, collect participant feedback, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.**
- **Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation in accordance with privacy and ethical standards.**
- **Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through evaluation and reflection.**

**Qualifications**:

- **A degree or diploma in Social Work, Community Development, Human Rights, Education, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).**
- **Minimum 2 years of experience in program coordination, community engagement, or frontline service delivery.**
- **Demonstrated understanding of anti-racism, cultural safety, intersectionality, and trauma-informed practice.**
- **Strong facilitation, presentation, and event coordination skills.**
- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills.**
- **Comfortable working with diverse communities, including racialized groups, youth, newcomers, and vulnerable populations.**
- **Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and social media platforms.**
- **Knowledge of the local community services sector in Vancouver is an asset.**
- **Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required for events and outreach.**
