Seasonal Sales Associate - Part Time (Sundays Required)

The Bike Shop is the largest independently owned bicycle retailer in Calgary and has proudly served our community for over 50 years. With three retail locations throughout the city, our team members pair thousands of customers with their dream bike everyday, make repairs and adjustments, and share the enthusiasm of all styles of cycling.

**Responsibilities**

Our sales associates are the first point of contact for customers and set the tone for the in-store experience. By creating a warm and welcoming environment, it builds strong relationships and encourages repeat customers. As a member of our sales team, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting customers through the process of researching, sizing, test riding, and purchasing bicycles and related accessories.
- Processing in-store transactions using our Point-of-Sale system, Ascend.
- Visual merchandising, stocking product displays, and maintaining a clean and presentable sales floor.
- Seeking information regarding new products, promotions, and programs.
- Taking accountability to respond to customer feedback in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with peers to contribute to a highly motivated and supportive team environment.
- Sharing ideas with the leadership team on how to improve the employee and customer experience.

**Job Qualifications**
- At least 1 day of weekend availability, Sundays preferred.
- An interest in cycling is strongly recommended.
- 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
- Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
- Positive, outgoing, and customer-focused demeanor.
- Ability to stay calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
