Cfa Foundations Drill Rig Operator

The Foundation Drill Rig Operator is responsible for understanding all function of the drill rig they are operating, following the OEM Manuals for safety, operations, & maintenance, and Hall Shoring & Foundation Safety Program. The operator is responsible for pre-trip equipment inspections prior to operation, ensure damages or required repairs are documented and reported to site supervisor.

**Your day-to-day will look like**:

- Operate company drill rig in safe manor and to OEM specifications
- Complete basic maintenance
- Report damage or repairs are reported to site supervisor immediately
- Assist with training and development of new workers
- Maintain and complete daily paperwork provided by site supervisor
- Ensure any unsafe activities or direction that is give, the operator is to stop work and report to site supervisor.
- Ensure proper foundation location is being completed (with help from ground personal).
- Help ensure foundation quality is maintained as per design specifications.
- Comply with all site safety rules.
- Help promote and maintain a safe and fair working culture
- Follow proper hoisting and rigging practices

**You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills**:

- Qualifications_:

- Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience in CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) foundation and shoring drilling activities.
- Education: grade 12 with diploma
- Understand and interpret drawings
- Knowledgeable in construction cut off elevations
- Must be able to work in fast paced team environment
- Designations: Valid Drivers License/Ground Disturbance
- Technical Skills:_
- Understands the means and methods of construction associated with foundation drilling, site utility, underground utility, and construction.
- Understand work sequencing and strategy for schedules.
- Is goal oriented and can react quickly to challenging circumstances to achieve the desired end results.
- Is organized, proactive, plans well and addresses problems promptly.
- Is committed to doing quality work the first time with little or no need for re-work.
- Knowledgeable with ground disturbance, ground stabilization along trenches, underground and overhead utilities.
- Operating equipment and have a strong understanding of capabilities.
- Interpersonal Skills:_
