Coordinator, Student Engagement

Reporting to the Manager, Student Engagement - EDGE, the Student Engagement Coordinator will be a key member of the EDGE team to support the implementation of student programming designed exclusively for Sheridan students. This role involves implementing plans to engage students in entrepreneurship and change-making initiatives promoting the EDGE student membership and supporting other student-facing opportunities. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating outreach booths, tech platforms, student events, mentorship activities, and additional support and resound resources for students.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Programs Coordination:

- Coordinating programs, including communication with students, mentors, and volunteers;
- Setting up accounts and enroll students;
- Following up with mentors and mentees on feedback forms;
- Using software tools (e.g., Slate) to communicate announcements or messages to EDGE student members about upcoming events and other important information;
- Reporting:

- Logging and maintaining detailed metrics regarding student engagement, including the number of students enrolled in programs, attendance at events, participation in booths, and involvement in various activities;
- Utilizing software tools to track and analyze these metrics, providing reports;Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence related to student engagement;
- Student engagement services:

- Engaging with students through booths, Discord, and class visits to promote EDGE membership and activities;
- Conducting tours of the EDGE space and capturing relevant information in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management system);
- Event Logistics and Support:

- Coordinating AV (audio/video), facilities, and catering needs for in-hub or on-campus events;
- Helping with event set-up and tear-down tasks (e.g., posting signage, liaising with catering);
- Assisting with event promotion and communication and organize event tasks and schedules;
- Contributing to enhancing event experiences and student engagement by providing ideas, logístical support, and proactive assistance before, during and post events;
- Administrative Coordination Related to Student Engagement:

- Coordinating student engagement administrative procedures;
- Establishing work priorities, delegate work to student staff, and ensure deadlines are met;
- Assist in maintaining inventory;
- Student programming support services:

- Greeting and supporting prospective and existing student members;
- Performing other related duties as assigned.

- Possess a 2-year diploma in Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Process Analysis, or Business Management;
- Possesses at least 1 year of experience with student services, event logistics, and program coordination gained through roles such as student ambassador, event coordinator, or program assistant;
- Relevant experience in direct interaction with students, planning and executing events, managing communications for programs required;
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel and Suite, SLATE, Zoom, Teams, Slack, Hubspot required;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills considered an asset;
- Passion for supporting student success and engagement with a proactive approach desired.
