**Construction Manager**

Daytona Homes is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic construction leader to join their Calgary team. This person will lead the construction and warranty team to build quality homes, efficiently and safely and foster a culture of excellence.

**Responsibilities**
- Support customer needs and budget objectives by ensuring possessions are accurately projected and that build times and turnover to customer is aligned with expectations.
- Support the production department by ensuring a diversified trade base that is capable of meeting company objectives (cost, quality, timelines, volume, warranty, safety).
- Regularly visit active subdivisions (and occupied homes as required) to maintain on-site support, monitor workflow, quality control and priorities to ensure houses are completed on schedule.
- Oversee warranty team to ensure that customers receive timely and quality warranty repairs on their homes.
- Stay abreast of building codes, municipality changes, construction techniques, construction cost, master plans, customer expectations.
- Ensure site safety through staff and trade management and adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Actively attend monthly construction meetings and quarterly trade council meetings.
- Participate in homebuilder networking committees/groups to stay abreast of industry trends.
- Hire, train, and develop a high performing team driven by the philosophy of continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in the residential construction industry
- Proven success in a supervisory role
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of building codes and construction costs
- Ability to manage trades and employees
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to develop others
- Driven, focused and a sense of urgency
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Valid drivers license
