**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Operate trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols while driving in various weather conditions.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary for loading/unloading tasks.
**Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. AZ OR DZ
- Proven experience in commercial driving or truck operation is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus, allowing for minor repairs on the road.
- Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
PAY 70% per load.
Daily Dispatch but time varies according to load pick up timing.
