Crossdock Systems has been getting it done since 2001, now operating for over 18 years; we are a third-party logistics provider. Over the years, we have grown from a small business to now operating over 35 trucks. We pride ourselves on having the highest ethical standards in the industry, we look to not only provide but protect our customers.

Due to growth in the business, we are looking to add another G Class Driver to our team. The Driver, G Class picks up and delivers goods (shipments) to & from our customers in a safe and courtesy manner that will improve the company's efficiency, help achieve the company's mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs pick-ups and deliveries with company owned/leased/rented commercial straight trucks within 200 km radius of terminal
  • Performs daily pre and post trip inspections of company equipment, electric walkies, straight trucks
  • Verifies the type, quantity and condition of goods loaded/unloaded compared to the bill of lading or manifest
  • Practices safe handling of goods a tailgate (lift-gate)
  • Accurately maintains appropriate records, including daily logbooks, bills of lading and delivery receipts (POD)
  • Understands and practices safe load securement within weight limits of the assigned unit/equipment, ensuring safe transit of goods
  • Practices safe loading and unloading with forklift, pallet jack, or by hand
  • Complies with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route destinations, parking, break period, etc.)
  • Constantly monitor vehicle fitness, load security and ever-changing conditions
  • Communicates consistently via telephone, smart device
  • Performs other related duties as requested, including warehouse general labour, forklift work when truck or route not available.

Customer Service, Road & Truck Safety Awareness, Transportation Knowledge, Attention to Detail, Problem-solving, Documentation Skills, Strong Work Ethics & Integrity

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of straight truck experience-Valid G license
  • Clean abstract preferred
  • Required to work Monday to Friday
  • Able to lift or move (push-pull) between lbs.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail a must
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • PPE required: Safety vest, Steel toe boots & protective gloves

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
