Site Superintendent

An established home builder located in the Edmonton and Sherwood Park area is seeking an experienced **Site Superintendent** to join their team.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Site Superintendent will be responsible for the supervision of daily activities of new construction and remodelling projects of various sizes and complexity. This individual will work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure a high level of quality and performance standards.
**Key Responsibilities **_(including but not limited to): _
- Manage day-to-day trade contractor scheduling and field oversight
- Assist team with project management/planning and developing site logistics
- Work closely with construction team to identify and solve problems
- Direct field staff to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities
- Ensure proper signage is posted on the job site
- Ensures compliance with company safety policies, as well as occupational health and safety and WCB requirements
- Maintains and enforces compliance with all company documentation, policies, procedures and processes, ensuring that controls are clear, well understood and complied with by staff, suppliers, and sub-trades
- Maintains daily field reports, records of safety meetings, records of on-site inspections, and construction schedules
- Receives all material deliveries ensuring all pack slips are correct, initialed, and sent to the head office
**Education & Experience**
- Seven (7) years of experience in residential and/or commercial construction
- Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory/management principles, including minimum two (2) years supervising a team
- Proven experience to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plan sets, building specifications, blueprints and as-builds
- Technical understanding of residential and commercial construction including building codes, trade sequencing and best building practices
- Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project
- Working knowledge of Procore preferred and or similar construction programs
**Additional Requirements**
- Must be able to travel locally
- Possess a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license
- Must own and properly register and insure own vehicle to travel to and from site (owning a truck is an asset)
- Paid mileage when traveling between construction sites
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends, as required
- Must be able to lift items weighing over 20 kilograms
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset

**Location of Work**
95% - Various Construction Sites
5% - Head Office
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
