We are currently seeking a Merchandise Associate, Men's and Gender Free **6 month contract** who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.

The Merchandise Associate, Men's and Gender Free **6 month contract** for Roots will be responsible for the following:

- Support the Merchandising and buying team in the execution of line plan creation, visual assortment while monitoring sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals.
- Conduct market research on an ongoing basis bringing forth opportunities for the Roots product assortment based on market trends and industry evolutions.
- Utilize in depth understanding of the Roots consumer and competition to assist with product pricing strategies.
- Create and maintain diplomas, PDM numbers, and line sheets within internal merchandising systems.
- Prepare samples and presentation materials for line reviews.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with cross and functional departments, and vendors while reinforcing Roots brand image and values.
- Adhere to the multiple seasons in development calendar and ensuring critical sign off of deadlines.
- 2+ years in fashion retail environment.
- Diploma/Degree in Business or related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
- Self-lead and an independent thinker with the ability to adapt in a fast pace environment.
- Proven ability to foster and maintain strong relations with internal and external partners.
- Excellent sense of style and fashion trends with understanding of Roots brand.
