**Summary of Position**:
The housekeeping supervisor's role is to supervise and manage the staff on a daily basis by doing opening reports, altering and making schedules, monitoring payroll, giving performance reviews, attending management meetings, and giving disciplinary action when necessary. Supervisors are also to be representative of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper in their absence. Be able to use Outlook, Word, Excel, Fosse and other Computer Requirements.

Be able to work in a standing and walking position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).Ability to climb; grasp, bend, walk, push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs. Must work in the operation when necessary.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Priority to check guest rooms and designated housekeeping areas. To maintain high levels of cleanliness and building conditions in compliance with Courtyard Marriott brand standards and BSA standards.
- Must promote a positive work environment and encourage employee engagement. Thus creating the ultimate guest experience.
- To accurately complete housekeeping forms/reports and ensure they are in compliance with BSA
- Maintain positive interdepartmental relationships
- Must support afair delegation of work to ensure time efficiency and maximize productivity.
- Responsible to do inventories, such as linen; par stock items and maintenance deficiency reports.
- Must compile maintenance reports and ensure maintenance is notify The Assistant and Executive
- To assist physically in operations during cases of staff shortages due to weather/ sick calls etc.
- Must respond to special requests, VIP rooms, emergency situations
- Responsible for the Laundry operation. Must check quality and quantity of linen and par levels as well as delegation of delivery
- Must observe staff have proper uniforms/ nametags and hygiene protocol.
- Must provide exceptional customer service with positive attitude when addressing of guest concern/complaints/ process lost and found
- Able to work and communicate in a professional and ethical manner with colleagues and in addressing conflict resolution
- Able to give positive and receive critical feedback Also, to be able to do coaching and disciplinary meeting and execute detailed documentation.
- Able to assist with new hire orientation/training and equipment and uniform delegation
- To be responsible for time management and keep the Executive briefed on work deadlines
- To contribute to energy conservation. Safe usage/storage of all materials/equipment and chemicals
- Attend meetings and training as required. Also, contributing new ideas and initiative to the overall success of the operation while maintaining productivity and quality control.
- Check with staff for supplies. Sign and time the RA’s board when checking in with them.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- To contribute to the security of the building, company assets and guest/co-workers safety with full adherence to security procedures with proper handling of keys.
- Maintain staff/guest/ management privacy
- Must update rooms in a timely manner and check availability, checkout and arrivals
- Must have an understanding of filling out forms, such as incident reports, hire packages and WSIB forms.
- Assist with the opening and closing procedures (assigning of rooms, Lost and found enquiries and logging in the system) Fill in shift report, or place information in Housekeeping logbook.
- Must participate in employee engagement activities on a monthly basis
- Adhere to all matters relating to Bona Code of Conduct; Bill 168 and Bill 132 and know the Collective Agreement and basic Employee Standards Act
- Proper use of break and lunch times and after opening in the morning.
- Must be punctual and follow schedule, stay late if operations require.
- Proper use and volume of walkie
- talkie radios.
- No use of cell phones on the floor.
- Must be able to multi-task and have time management skills.
- Work under pressure
- Flexible with all scheduling 24/7, 365 days a year

**Health and Safety**:

- Wear proper PPE at all times and ensure staff are doing so
- Ensure all staff are following Marriott’s Emergency Response Guidelines
