|SUMMARY
The High Value Payment Products team provides business expertise to ensure the operational excellence of Canada’s clearing and settlement infrastructure, and interfaces with member institutions to develop, maintain, and improve business processes (including rules and standards) that support the operation of the national clearing and settlement systems. The team also plays a key role in planning the evolution and future state of high value payments in Canada.

This position is a 12 months term.

|What You’ll Do
Responsibilities of the role will include:

- Analyzing the business needs of members and stakeholders in order to propose solutions to identified problems and identify opportunities for value added services;
- Developing a strong understanding of Payments Canada’s by-laws, rules and standards to ensure operational excellence;
- Conducting ongoing Business Operations, Support, and monitoring of High Value system;
- Supporting small, cross-functional teams to support the coordination and execution of operational projects and annual initiatives;
- Obtaining data from multiple sources, analyzing information to develop reliable fact based reports in support of various operational initiatives and ongoing activities;
- Managing work related to assigned Payments Canada task forces, committees and working groups, including agenda management and acting as Secretary or Chair, undertaking research and analysis when required;
- Providing on-call support as needed to support operations and ensure timely and accurate follow-up and reporting of all participant and Payments Canada system incidents.

|Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a relevant area;
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a business administration, economics, or policy related position;
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Experience in or understanding of project management principles
- Ability to work outside of regular working hours based on operational requirements;
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Occasional travel may be required;
- Government of Canada Level II Secret Clearance, or eligibility to obtain.

|Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Certification;
- Experience in the financial industry;
- Bilingualism (English and French).

|Salary Range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $71,720 and $95,626
