Sewing Machine Operator

VetMed Solutions supplies state of the art veterinary supplies to over 5,000 animal hospitals worldwide. We’re looking for a highly experienced seamstress who can operate a modern industrial sewing machine. Our goal is to help animals receive the best care and we want you to be part of our mission
You will be responsible for operating a Juki automated industrial sewing machine to assemble têxtile related products in our Mississauga office.
**Responsibilities**
- Thread machine, change needles, and adjust tension as required
- Use and understand basic measurements
- Perform sewing functions by following supervisor’s directions
- Sewing tasks must be done in a precise and timely manner
- Meet company quality and production standards
- Maintain work area, clean and orderly
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1 year experience operating an automated industrial sewing machine
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Dedicated to completing the task with a high degree of quality and efficiency.
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a safe manner, in a seated position
- Experience sewing sportswear is an asset
**Additional Information**
- Working hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm
- This is a full-time, permanent position
- Hourly pay between $18 - $20 based on experience
- Dental or medical benefits are currently unavailable, but will be introduced in the future (1 - 2 years) as the company grows
- 2 weeks paid vacation
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
