**BFL CANADA** **is looking for a Legal Advisor for its Montreal office**
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Advisor will work on a variety of files in employment law, corporate law and commercial law, and will need to balance legal spirit with business sense. They will take charge of entrusted files, be in regular contact with numerous internal and external protagonists, conduct appropriate research and monitoring, draft commercial and corporate documents and work in close collaboration with the legal team, management and corporate services.

**Your Day as a Legal Advisor**
- Take charge of a variety of legal mandates with autonomy and efficiency.
- Manage employment-related litigation and support human resources with agreements and specific employment law questions.
- Draft and negotiate various commercial and insurance-related agreements.
- Support day-to-day operations and coordinate with internal and external clients.
- Participate in the development of internal policies and procedures required under the legal framework applicable to the BFL CANADA group of companies.
- Conduct research and provide legal advice on commercial law matters, including insurance law.
- Participate in legal due diligence in the context of acquisition mandates at the national level.
- 7 to 10 years’ well-rounded experience in a private law firm and in-house environments.
- Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
- Member in good standing of a common law society is an asset.
- University degrees in Civil Law and Common Law.
- Good knowledge of employment law and litigation.
- Excellent command of English and French written and spoken.
- Experience in the insurance or financial industry is an asset.
- Combine autonomy, teamwork and collaboration with different specialized teams.
- Capacity to adapt in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
- Judgment and ability for clear and effective communication.
- Attention to detail and precision and aptitude to analyze and solve problems.
- Professionalism in working with confidential and sensitive information.
