As a Renewable Energy Specialist, you will act in a customer facing role involved in the commercial/technical decision-making process of the sales cycle. Your focus will be on identifying/closing large projects and driving incremental specialized product growth at all levels. You will provide pre and post-sales support and expertise in a specified product category to assist the sales team in their sales efforts of technical products, systems and services. You will deliver presentations and product demonstrations to customers and sales representatives. You will also have a continuing role in customer support to address customer issues in the usage of the products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical expertise as a Specialist in solar power systems, and battery-based products for customer base through regional sales calls, presentations, and territory management.
- Specify products to meet customer requirements and needs, recommend inventory of products and provide quotations. Make sales calls to customers and prospects.
- Identify new sales opportunities. Support inside sales staff.
- Work with the category Director to identify territory coverage, inventory, and price levels.
- Educate customers and staff on rebate programs where applicable.
- Train and assist sales staff with product familiarity, new product development and related product technology.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and customers to achieve the best outcomes.
- Travel to branches within the region to perform the above responsibilities. Renewable Specialists are deemed Regional Specialists, and are responsible for the entire region.
- Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; manage the customer relationship from the quotation process, through delivery, to after sales service.
- Generate sales through up selling.
- Preparing quotations and proposals using EECOL’s CRM program, Excel and adobe PDF’s.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, drawings, expediting and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
- Coordinate Manufacturers to conduct training for appropriate levels of staff at branches throughout the region.Perform other duties as required.
- **Who We're Looking For**:

- Renewable Energy interest, including knowledge of solar and wind energy industry.
- 1+ years Electrical industry experience as manufacturer or distributor preferred
- 3+ years Sales experience in related industry preferred
- In depth solar product knowledge is an advantage; must be motivated to learn and have a personal commitment to ongoing education.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced branch.
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and creative team player with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills.Ability to travel and attend sales events, exhibits or training.

Compensation Details $72,053 - $90,067 Annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may also include participation in a bonus or sales compensation plan paid according to achievement against sales targets and/or business objectives. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as
