**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the day to day management of all aspects of the Grocery department including: ordering, merchandising, customer service and labour scheduling.
- Provide leadership to staff through delegation of work and scheduling, ongoing training, and promotion of a harmonious work environment.
- Monitor financial objectives and ensure that budgets are met through efficient operation of the department, keeping an eye on gross profit, labour productivity, operational expenses, inventory control, and shrink targets.
- To receive grocery and check invoices ensuring quantity is accurate and quality of product meets with store standards.
- Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced appropriately
- To follow the store safety procedures at all times.
- To respond to any customer inquiries or requests maintaining courteous customer relations at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated commitment to customer and employee relations.
- Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays as required.
- Able to work as a member of a team and support the execution of team goals.
